DISCUSSION

  1. Ask
What really impacted you out of this sermon?
  2. Explain
King David loved to take time out for a long look at the beauty of the Lord as we read in Psalm 27:4.
His names, His nature, His character and His actions.
    Ask
What do you think are the beautiful characteristics of God?
  3. Ask
What beautiful changes has Jesus made in your life?
  4. Reflect
Have the group read John 8:1-11.
    Ask
Can you describe in your own words the beauty of Jesus as He engaged with the woman caught in adultery?
What are some other New Testament stories where the beauty of Jesus is seen in how He responds and ministers to people?
  5. Application
    Ask
How does this help you reflect the Lord’s beauty in your world today?
What do you think are the characteristics of a beautiful person?
Name some beautiful people you know?
  6. Affirmation
In your group, affirm the beautiful characteristics you see in each other’s lives.
  7. Reflection
In his message David made this statement: ‘Beauty is defined by the Trinity’.
    Discuss
What did David mean by this?
    How does this work?
What does this tell us about Jesus, and about God?
  8. Ask
Where do you see beauty in Jesus on the cross?
In which unexpected places have you found beauty?
  9. Rejoice
Describe situations where you have seen, or even experienced, the beauty of Jesus reflected in people’s actions.
  10. Meditate
Have a time of quietness where you ‘gaze on the beauty of the Lord’.

PRAYER
Pray after the time of meditation and ‘gazing on the beauty of the Lord’.

God Bless.
