Small Group Questions: His Name is… Beautiful
Where do you see Beauty?
Description/Process: Facilitator chooses a category from the following list to suit the nature of the group:
city in the world
Ask each person in your group to name one that they consider is beautiful and explain why.
eg: “Which ‘city of the world’ would you consider beautiful and why?”
Spend some time praying that each member of the group gains a fresh understanding of God’s beauty, the beauty of Jesus and how this is present in our world.
Have someone read Psalm 27:4, have a second person read 2 Corinthians 3:18.
What really impacted you out of this sermon?
King David loved to take time out for a long look at the beauty of the Lord as we read in Psalm 27:4.
His names, His nature, His character and His actions.
What do you think are the beautiful characteristics of God?
What beautiful changes has Jesus made in your life?
Have the group read John 8:1-11.
Can you describe in your own words the beauty of Jesus as He engaged with the woman caught in adultery?
What are some other New Testament stories where the beauty of Jesus is seen in how He responds and ministers to people?

In your group, affirm the beautiful characteristics you see in each other’s lives.

Have a time of quietness where you ‘gaze on the beauty of the Lord’.
Pray after the time of meditation and ‘gazing on the beauty of the Lord’.
