Small Group Questions: Go and Make Disciples

pursue

Invite someone to pray asking the Spirit to move and speak during your small group time.

ICEBREAKER

Ask the group to take turns finishing this phrase:
“I was totally amazed when…”

DISCUSS

Read:
Have one of the group read Matthew 28: 16-20

Discuss:
What do you think of when you hear the word “discipleship”?

Reflection:
Have you done a discipleship course?
What did this do for your faith?
Did you learn facts, requirements, freedom, or all of these?

Ask:
What have you found helps you to grow as a follower of Jesus?

Brainstorm:
Ross talked about making new disciples. He challenged the idea of programs and systems for making new disciples. The requirement for making new disciples may not be the same thing that we need to grow once we are followers of Jesus.
Is there a better way to share your faith in Jesus?
How did you first hear the gospel?
How have you seen other people hear the gospel and respond positively?
Is there something that has helped you share?

Sharing:
Last year Rod challenged us to pursue one person in our life for the gospel. Share the details you are comfortable to share about a person you hope to share the gospel with.

PRAYER
Finish by spending time in prayer:
Pray specifically for your the various people that your group hopes to share the gospel with.

God Bless.
