EOLFAOC header

Invite someone to pray asking the Spirit to move and speak during your small group time.

ICEBREAKER
Why is it important to be an inter-generational church?
What can “you do” to foster/nurture our commitment to being an inter-generational church?

Share with the group.

DISCUSS
Have several members of the group read the following verses: 1 Cor 1:1, 3:2, 3:10a, 4:14-15
How does Paul assert his authority over the church in Corinth?

Read 1 Cor 1:2
To whom was this letter written?

From 1 Cor 1:3-4 what is the source of the grace and peace they need?
Discuss how we can get the grace and peace we need.

Read 1 Cor 1:5-7
List all the good things Paul says about the church members.
Why do you think these good things are listed so early in the letter?

Have two members of the group read 1 Cor 1:8-9 and Philippians 1:6.
Paul obviously has faith that this church is going to turn out OK in the end. How can he be so confident?
Share where you are at spiritually, and where you want to be before Jesus returns.
How can these verses give you the same faith?

PRAY
Take time as a group to pray for our church: for inter-generational ministry, for unity, for the empowering of the Holy Spirit, for Jesus to be the centre of all we do and all we are as a church.

God Bless.
