Small Group Questions – What Do You Bring?

Share with the group one time you have laughed in the last week.

Have the group read 1 Corinthians 11:17-34, take turns reading paragraphs.
Read from The Message, and another translation.

Share one verse or thought that stands out.

Do you ever come to church with a consumer attitude?
How does that play out in your life?
How might that influence your faith?

Have members of the group read Matthew 5:6 and Ephesians 5:18
Keith talked about being filled with Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
How do you live a life of being satisfied with Jesus?
Where are the areas in your life that you look to other things to satisfy you rather than Jesus?
Pray for each other in these areas.

Have one of the group read Philippians 4:4-9
How do you celebrate God?
What would it mean to celebrate God all day, every day?
How would this change your perspective?
How could this happen in your life?

Read 1 Timothy 6:6
How could celebrating God all day, every day, influence your contentment?

Have one of the group read 2 Corinthians 7:9-10.
Have you ever experienced distress that drew you back to God?
How do you ensure that it did not drive you away from God?
Share your experiences to encourage each other.

Pray for each other to be encouraged to gather as servants of the Kingdom rather than as consumers. Pray for each other to celebrate God all day, every day. Pray for each other to be drawn to God through times of distress rather than driven away from God.
