UPDATED Communication to Small Group’s Regarding COVID19

G’day Church,

I hope you are doing ok? We want you to know that we are praying for you. Sorry for all the emails but we are trying to stay up to date with all of the guidelines coming from our government and most importantly keeping you all safe.

As of last night 24th March our Prime Minister asked us to do the following;

Australians should stay at home, unless shopping for essentials, travelling to and from work – where you cannot work from home, going to school and exercising. Keep visitors to your home at a minimum. In outdoor spaces do not congregate in groups.

Places of worship, weddings and funerals
Weddings with a maximum attendance of no more than 5 people and where the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies.
Funerals attended by a maximum of no more than 10 people and where the 1 person per 4 square metre rule applies.

Unfortunately therefore we are now asking you to suspend all small group activity in your homes.

It’s time for us to get creative. Please think about setting up a WhatsApp group or an online meeting app or pick up the phone. Be sure to stay connected as often as you normally would. Staying connected is so important. Here is what one of our senior groups has decided to do;

“Last Sunday’s YouTube church in our lounge was different but went well. Thanks Mandy for a great message too.
Just letting you know that KYB will be having our very first Zoom meeting this Thursday morning…… we are becoming the “BabyZoomers” hoping we have no technical problems and that everyone can join the meeting.”

Let’s continue to keep our eyes on Jesus, while doing what we can to play our part in the fight against this virus.

In this together, God’s Best,

Rod Thom
