Covid 19- Latest Leadership Announcement

G’day Church,

I just wanted to let you know about a few things we’ve been chatting through and planning for as we head into the next phase of our recovery starting on Monday 18th of May. I’m sure that you are well aware now that our state government, as of Monday, will allow us to conduct small gatherings consisting of 20 people (not including staff) and further open the Loop Cafe to allow people to dine in. This is great and it gives us a sense that we are on the road back.

Our biggest focus over the last few days has been preparing the café for all of the added COVID-19 safety requirements which Phil Porter (Business Manager) and Bec Pereira (Café Manager) are now busy implementing for 8am on Monday morning. If you wish to use the café please be aware of the following requirements:

• Sanitise your hands upon arrival
• Maintain good personal hygiene
• There will be a strict minimum of 4sqm per person, with maximum of 20 people
• You will need to leave us a mobile number or email for purposes of contact tracing
• Ensure social distancing
• If you need to use a bathroom while on site please use the ambulant toilet only
• Please download and activate the COVIDSafe app
• If you are unwell please stay home

We are COVID Safe training all of our staff and they will frequently clean and disinfect all surfaces, make sure that all distancing measures are in place and help with contact tracing if required. We would love you to please keep supporting our Loop Cafe.

As for our other programs and gatherings we are going to take a slower approach, however, we are hoping to start slowly opening up our facility for things like worship practice and filming, smaller prayer meetings and ministry area meetings. All of these gatherings will need to ensure that they are COVID Safe compliant, we will be working towards communicating those requirements over the next week or two.

In the meantime please continue to connect in the ways that we have been speaking about and we look forward to being able to gather again soon.

In this together,

Rod Thom
Senior Minister
