It is a strategic priority at Lifestreams to help people Lead like Jesus, and one of the ways we do that is through our LEAD Community and LEAD Internships.
The LEAD Community offers leadership development opportunities for those leading in Lifestreams ministries and in the marketplace, equipping people for leadership as they go and encouraging them to live out His calling in their current sphere. LEAD Nights fall under this, and provide opportunity for our leadership community to come together for encouragement, inspiration and leadership development. We heard from different guest speakers, including Emily Dickinson, David Michie and the Hon. Chris Dawson, who shared unique understandings and experiences in leadership. If you missed out, these are available to watch on YouTube. We also have a LEAD resourcing email that goes out monthly, providing encouragements and resources such as books, blogs, podcasts and more to equip you in your leadership.
Our LEAD Internships offer an intentional year-long program designed for those looking to grow as a disciple of Jesus. There is a specific focus on helping learn what it means to Lead like Jesus through teaching, discipling, equipping and practical ministry involvement. LEAD Internships is an integral part of the LEAD Community. Josh Riches added value to our team, and youth/young adult ministries in his time as a LEAD Intern in 2023. His humility, teachability and willingness to grow all contributed to his own personal growth as a leader. We also had Katy Hall, from the USA come and complete a 2 month Internship with us, serving in youth ministry.
Overall it was an encouraging year, and we look forward to all that 2024 brings.
